School Visits Programme
Here at Dawley Dental Practice we offer a school visit programme. This programme allows us to go into schools and teach children about oral health and hygiene. As a dental practice we think oral health should be part of the school curriculum and early education is key to good dental health.
In every primary school a staggering 8 to 9 children in every class will have already developed tooth decay. Our main aim is to teach valuable oral health education that reduces the number of children with tooth decay and other dental issues.
A school visit from our dental professionals is a great way to engage pupils using educational talks, question and answer sessions, brushing demonstrations and fun quizzes. Giving these students this positive experience allows them to take the information home, share with other siblings and take into adulthood.
Our visits are extremely fun for all involved, even you teachers! Often, school visits can have a profound effect on the attitude children have towards going to their dental appointments and their oral health. Our school visits educate pupils with detailed ways they can improve their dental health.
