CCTV Policy

At Dawley Dental Practice, the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff are extremely important to us.

For this reason, CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) is in operation throughout selected areas of the practice. Our CCTV system helps us maintain a safe environment, improve security, support staff training, and assist with the prevention and detection of crime.

All CCTV footage is managed in line with current UK data protection legislation and GDPR guidelines.

Why Do We Use CCTV?

Our CCTV system is used for the following purposes:

• Maintaining the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors
• Preventing and detecting crime or anti-social behaviour
• Supporting staff training and quality improvement
• Protecting practice property and equipment
• Assisting with the investigation of incidents if required

Where Are Our Cameras Located?

CCTV cameras are located in selected areas of the practice, including:

• Waiting rooms
• Corridors
• Decontamination room
• Reception and office areas
• External areas of the practice, including car parks

Privacy & Confidentiality

CCTV footage is securely stored and can only be accessed by authorised personnel when necessary.
